Professional Comments - Mrs Teale

Mrs Teale exemplifies all that is good in a true professional. She cares deeply for the educational and social development of her children. She handles difficult situations with skill and sensitivity and motivates staff.
Jean has worked extremely hard to lead the Nursery team so that a high degree of planning and continuous assessment takes place, which enables all staff to respond fully to the needs of individual children. Indeed in both Ofsted inspections, the provision made for the children and the teaching in the Nursery were found to be excellent and were recognised as a strength of the school.
Mrs Teale's ability is widely recognised-she was asked by LEA Inspectors to take a secondment to reorganise a Nursery which had been placed in 'Special Measures'.
It was the school's good fortune that Jean Teale was appointed as Nursery and Early Years Co-ordinator -for under her leadership, the Nursery quickly established a reputation for excellence both within the LEA and the wider community. This excellent reputation is reinforced by the results of Ofsted and LEA inspections.
Jean Teale is a much valued colleague and I respect her curricula and managerial expertise as well as her dedication and commitment.
Mrs Teale's relationships with parents and staff are of the highest order. She is liked and respected by all.
The large number of 'thank you' letters Mrs Teale receives bear testimony to the parents' appreciation of her talents
Mrs Teale's high expectations enable all children in her care to extend their all round development and reach their full potential
Mrs Teale has an extensive knowledge of the needs of young children and is able to translate that knowledge into the provision of a wide range of rich and balanced learning activities well matched to individual children's needs.
Jean's an outstanding teacher with a particular talent for and a wide experience of early years provision
This is to verify that following our recent Ofsted Inspection, Mrs Jean Teale was awarded a Certificate of Excellence. This was a most unusual occurrence and reflects the excellence of Jean's teaching and her management of the Nursery.
Jean never wavers in her concern for standards and performance. Throughout my long association with Jean I have never known her to give less than 100% in anything she does.

Mrs Chadbourne's communication skills are excellent, both orally and on paper.

Mrs Chadbourne forms excellent relationships with her pupils and has the sensitivity to perceive their individual needs and address them.
Mrs Chadbourne has a capacity to relate very well to people and has an interest in them as individuals.
Mrs Chadbourne has good communication skills and worked well with parents.
Mrs Chadbourne worked well as part of a team and the school as a whole-leading continuous professional development for all staff through her role as P.E coordinator.
Mrs Chadbourne planned her lessons well, including many practical , hands on experiences, and was able to differentiate the activities to meet the needs of different groups of children working at different levels.
Mrs Chadbourne carried out her teaching duties efficiently and conscientiously.
Mrs Chadbourne is clearly committed to high standards in early years practice.

Miss Gratton willingly took part in our voluntary project-‘Read On, Write Away!' and organised many various charity events to support this. She was always willing to give up her time and take on some extra responsibilities-and did so with such cheerfulness and enthusiasm. Miss Gratton used her initiative and her ability to encourage and motivate others to get involved is testament to her strength if her personality and the respect others have for her. Good humoured, resourceful, responsible and respectful. Miss Gratton was an absolute asset!
