Hello! My name is Miss Garratt! I have worked at Bakewell Nursery School since its opening in December 2004.

I am currently working in our brand new Baby Unit ........... and it certainly has the WOW! factor! It has been a wonderful opportunity to have been involved in such an exciting project and the children are certainly enjoying their new, much more spacious magical environment!

I completed my qualification in 2002 and really enjoy working at Bakewell Nursery School! Each day is so different and exciting! From

I could go out to work, knowing my children were safe and well cared for! On my return from work, my children had been very busy baking, painting and always having fun! They would always have been outside in the garden or to the park. Thank you Miss Garratt!

those very first steps.....to those first words...."Da da!!"

We believe it to be so important to ensure our babies see the same familiar, loving faces every day!
Our babies settle very quickly and happily because of this!
In fact this was observed by Ofsted Inspectors at our most recent Ofsted Inspection ( January' 08):

" The babies are cared for in a friendly, warm and sociable room where their individual care needs are met by well-qualified and experienced staff who exhibit an outstanding caring attitude."

Alongwith quiet, calming story/rest times there are lots of opportunities to have fun in our more noisy musical and creative activities!
The children really enjoy our work with sand, water, paint, playdough etc, etc, etc!!
