Hello! My name is Miss Gratton and I am currently working in the Foundation Stage Unit with our 3 and 4 year old children.

extremely keen to become a permanent member of staff! I was very lucky to be able to join Bakewell Nursery School as a Nursery Nurse with a full time, permanent position in September 2008.

Working with young children is so rewarding. It requires cheerfulness, organisation, energy, sensitivity, creativity and a sense of fun!

After working and gaining lots of experience in various local playgroups - I wholeheartedly agree with Mrs Teale and my experiences have confirmed her belief that we need to be family centred in our approach to education and care. It is only through such knowledge - that we can begin to build up the whole picture of our child. It is vitally important to fully involve the parents and their families in the education and care of their child from the very beginning......and we certainly do this at Bakewell Nursery School!

It is only by working together - we can achieve goals that are personally tailored to meet children's needs and these help us to understand "what makes the tick!"
