(Fully Qualified Teacher)
Hello! My name is Mrs Chadbourne and I am the Deputy at Bakewell Nursery School.

As a fully qualified teacher, I teach the children in the Foundation Stage Unit on a daily basis and I am committed to the belief that a well structured, play orientated environment, where the children are having fun as they learn, is vital!

I am also our 'Under Threes Co-ordinator' where I ensure all daily activities and levels of care are to the highest standard.

Through my knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, I am able to advise staff

working with our babies and toddlers how to aim towards those 'next steps' in learning and development.

As a fully quailfied teacher, I have been fortunate to have had many opportunities to work with children with additional needs. This work made me realise how vital it is to ensure a broad, balanced and appropriate curriculum is offered to all children, alongwith maintaining a high level of educational provision and care - and I was delighted to see this was occurring at Bakewell Nursery School!

I have undergone many training courses-some of which are:
  • ICT in Literacy
  • Improving through Assessment from the Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1
  • Phonics Teaching
  • Various Courses re: Physical Development and Education
  • Anti Bullying and Emotional Development
  • The Foundation Stage Curriculum
  • Introduction of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • The Development of Outdoor Play

I am currently working and studying to obtain my 'Early Years Professional Status'-a highly regarded, graduate only, professional status which recognises the importance of excellent early years practice. This will give me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and further my leadership skills.
